Trams has achieved ISO 9001 certification, the international benchmark for business quality.
To gain the accreditation Trams had to demonstrate its dedication and commitment to meeting customers’ needs, operating efficient management processes and delivering consistent, good quality products and services.
ISO consultancy QMS oversaw an analysis of the Trams business model, followed by a two-stage formal assessment before awarding the company with ISO 9001 certification.
Morris Simpson, Lead Auditor at QMS, comments: “By achieving ISO 9001 certification, Trams is able to demonstrate to customers and suppliers that the systems it has in place meet the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). “I was very impressed with the Trams management team’s commitment to establishing clear processes from the outset so that all future expansion is controlled and all projects are managed with the same consistency.”
Warren Peel, Trams Managing Director, says: “It’s been a real achievement for us to gain this accreditation, to help assure our clients that we take our business, service delivery and development seriously. It underpins our increasing reputation as a leading provider in what we do. Clients can rely on Trams to deliver, knowing that the right procedures have been followed.”
Updated in 2015, ISO 9001 is a quality management system that sets clear parameters to ensure certified companies are focused on meeting customer needs and wants. That means management understands everything from the organisational structure, policies, procedures, process and resources, right through to setting out who is responsible, and accountable, for what.
